Franken nailed Sessions when he questioned him. It was a disgusting display by Cruz (as usual), but only illustrated that Sen. Franken caught Sessions in some lies and Sessions looked bad.

You said such and such and that was not a lie. As Cruz was saying this, Sessions is looking at Cruz with disbelief and his mouth hanging open, as if to say, "I don't know where you're getting those words that you're putting in my mouth." Sessions looked totally dumbfounded. At the end, Cruz says something to the affect. "Isn't this your testimony?" and Sessions says "Yes, Yes, exactly" (or something like that). It was the strangest think I'd ever seen.
