I like the idea of a state-by-state strategy to win back the House. it's a long shot, but progressive Californians could begin by campaigning to replace Kevin McCarthy (CA-23), who is up for re-election in 2018. Heck, we almost unseated Darrell Issa in November. Why not try McCarthy? As house majority leader he's going to be the face of much unpopular legislation. As California grows more progressive some of these long-held Republican areas are becoming vulnerable.
