Why isn't it called fake news when after Comey's report came out, just days before the election, Trump was saying things to his supporters at his rallies like, "Wow, you can't believe what they're finding in Hillary's emails" and "This is bigger than Watergate." And, with the birther thing, "Oh, you can't believe what the investigators are finding in Hawaii about Obama's birth certificate!" No one calls him out on that stuff! I really can't believe that Trump gets away with absolutely everything!

...I strongly suspect Arpaio was the "well-placed source" that tRump referred to many times during the "Birther Brouhaha."

8. I know, huh? And one of Arpaio's last acts as Sheriff was to hold a news conference...

...a few weeks ago and claim the Hawaiian Birth Certificate "was a forgery." He had a "special investigator" on the podium with him, and a room bull of geritol-gulch birthers just salivating at giving the "Black President" his comeuppance. What a freakin' joke!

Notably the press here in Phoenix treated the whole affair as the non-starter it truly is.

6. You cannot make them know shame by pointing out their hypocricy.

They are impervious to facts, decency and political norms. You CAN make them know shame by turning the tables, apparently. So now they learn the hard way about how payback works. Sad we have to go down this road, but I don't see any other way.
