to increase their ratings significantly.

CNN leans left and Fox News leans far right. MSNBC may be trying move more into the middle and have some programming that appeals to liberals and some that appeals to conservatives.

Remember it the end run it's all about the money.

A number of people believe Morning Joe is far too conservative but it does well in the ratings.

A number of MSNBC shows set network records in 2016. Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski had a particularly strong year as Morning Joe delivered MSNBC’s biggest total viewer audience in the time period ever, and beat CNN’s New Day in both total viewers and the key A25-54 category. This marks Morning Joe’s 7th straight year topping CNN in total viewers.

I never had cable, but when I'd see things like Morning Joe, Chuck Todd, and Chris Mathews, (I watch some of their content on youtube) I didn't really get the love fest some had with the network. Too many crap journalists and phonies.

Nothing has changed for me. In fact, Gretta may actually be slightly more palatable than the previous spineless douches.

Just like the ones she did for GVS. Matthews just spent an hour beating up media who ran news of DT. He didn't make the distinction of legit intelligence and Buzz Feed document, which wasn't intended to be anything other than ...here it is...and it was pretty bad. Came off as a defense of DT.
I had quit watching CNN because I couldn't stand the airhead Hostile Republican panelists.

Cant think of one network/outlet that hasn't "played it safe," so to speak.

I watch Rachel and Lawrence O'Donnell only once in awhile. Can't tolerate anyone else.
