2. If You Were One of His Supporters

If you were one of his supporters how would you feel? More and more it might be looking to them like they were conned. Just yesterday, Donald Trump pretty much so admitted that Mexico was not likely to make a direct payment to the United States to reimburse taxpayers for the cost of building a border wall. Yes, Trump claimed that Mexico would pay for the wall one way or another, but now he is saying it will likely come in the form of taxes on remittances. First, if you were a Trump supporter would you believe him after all the promises he has already broken. Second, even if remittances are taxed, can't people find a way around paying the taxes. So, it looks likely that the people who voted for Trump because he was going to build a wall and make Mexico pay for the wall are now realizing that they are the ones who are going to be paying for the wall. In addition, they may be learning that, for multiple reasons, it is very unlikely that there will be a wall stretching across the entire border. So, we all know what will likely happen; people will just cross into the United States at points that do not have a border wall.

Then you have Hillary Clinton. How many of these people voted for Donald Trump mainly because he promised Hillary Clinton would be put in jail? Then right after the election he changes course and says he will not prosecute Hillary Clinton and that she and her husband are good people.

Next, you have draining the swamp and corruption. Trump was supposed to get rid of the New York and Washington elite. However, Goldman Sachs, billionaires, and Washington elites are on the verge of running the country. Trump railed against crony capitalism and corruption during the election, but now his supporters are seeing his corruption and crony capitalism. Most of the people who were appointed to his cabinet gave money to his campaign. So, now there is a much worse swamp with crony capitalism and corruption without Hillary Clinton's experience and intelligence. Maybe they are beginning to think if they were going to be left with the swamp maybe they would have been better off with Hillary Clinton being in charge of the swamp.

Furthermore, Trump was supposed to bring back coal jobs and jobs destroyed by NAFTA. Now those coal workers are learning that Trump may take away their health care and their jobs may not come back. So, now they are looking losing their jobs, not getting their jobs back, and losing their healthcare all at the same time.

That is only a fraction of what Trump supporters may be realizing. It is very possible that they are regretting voting for Trump. It is possible that they are looking around and asking themselves what are they getting from a Trump presidency. Maybe they are realizing they are on the verge of losing just as much as the Hillary Clinton supporters they thought were going to be hurt by a Trump election. Maybe they are realizing they were conned and that Trump was more of the same without the positive upside.

3. Hope in the darkness heh?

I realized that when the Buzzfeed article came out that feeling I had was euphoric-it was hope. And I realized at the age of 50 something there is no better drug no better food or sex or anything than that feeling-HOPE.

It's too soon. But I know we look for signs. I still get the same thing in my twitter-I'm dumb or Hillary is the devil. It's still all Hillary-I loved her in the end-but the hatred for her seems stronger than their Trump love. Well she's not going to be president-I guess we get to live with their stupid choices until he is brought down and enjoy their realizations that stupid doesn't work and their suffering isn't an excuse to tear the world down.

Just like Trump. He will take hatred and return it in kind. He cannot handle being corrected, ridiculed, mocked, or questioned. Many of his supporters are the same.
