It's on !!!! Comrade Drumpf took the bait and attacks civil rights icon John Lewis !!!https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/820251730407473153
Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to...... https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/820255947956383744
mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results. All talk, talk, talk - no action or results. Sad!

30. People who were "swayed" to vote for Trumpy
should be backing away by the hundreds of thousands by now. Those who thought that they were taking a chance cannot be happy with Trumpy's conduct. His behavior is outrageous, unbefitting a president, and very predictable. When news anchors are joking about when Trumpy will go on another twitter jag, you know he's in trouble.
Trumpy hates. It's in his personality. He does a lot of hating. If anyone doesn't think he's their living, breathing orgasm, he hates them in return. If he's not adored and worshipped, then "they" have a problem and they deserve to be belittled and denigrated. That's Trumpy. This phenomenon is something like the glowing popularity that takes place with a musician or group that breaks through the public consciousness with a big musical hit, but then veers off into obscure musical genres and loses that once-excited audience. Trumpy had a sensational entrance into the national political scene, but is now cementing his image as a vindictive, arrogant, deceptive, and petulant asshole-- not to mention the fact that he can't stop lying. And BECAUSE there are portions of the press that are still "free", Trumpy's reactive tendencies are becoming more rigid and even more predictable. He's developing a caricature of himself. Only those rabid "true believers" will be left standing with Trumpy within a year. He will fight his own self-made image until he destroys himself. Early in Trumpy's campaign, when writers were expressing concern that Trumpy was mentally unstable with a personality disorder, THIS is what they were predicting. |

I've got two ex associates, can't call them friends, who one didn't vote for HRC or the trumpfuhrer, but the third party candidate and the other voted for his fuhrer. They are both now sure they blew it. Every time I see them in public I just shake my head and keep walking. Their texts are pathetic. I will start my laughing to shame them in public as soon as the orange fuhrer is inaugurated. And these two are college educated, informed individuals who have turned out to be "idiots".

24. I can one-up you on that
I'm married to one of those idiots. He voted for trump, and we're still fighting about it. Because we're so intertwined as far as business goes, I'm trying very hard to bide my time until he can no longer deny what a colossal mistake he made and how stupid he has been. If he doesn't come around, I'm going to have to face the fact that we're going to have to dissolve everything and go our separate ways. Not something I really want to do at this stage of my life. Sometimes I really do wonder if he's got some early dementia going on.
At least your ex associates know they blew it. I'm convinced, or at least hopeful, that in very short time a whole lot more people will realize how big they blew it and we can start digging our way out of this hell. |

a reconciliation can happen or at the least, some love can survive this created monster that is getting ready to run amok among decent people. I see where they might throw the press out of the WH because of "fake" news reports on the fuhrer. Well they went a long way in creating this frankenstein monster by NOT covering the truth about this execration, let them all reap what they have sown. Just too bad we are going to reap when we had not a damn thing to do with this abomination ready to walk into 1600. Good luck, I mean it, in everything.

56. Thank you.
It's taking a lot of self-discipline to keep from saying "I told you so" with each new blunder or horror from trump. My husband does shake his head and talk about how childish trump is, so maybe there's hope. It does help that all of my kids are well grounded and intelligent and anti-trump, and so are most of our friends.
The thing that set my husband off so much is that he's a retired union worker. He has been mad about NAFTA, and of course trump said he would get rid of NAFTA. The thing I've tried to explain to him is that even if trump wasn't just talking out of his ass and cared about the issues, he can't get rid of NAFTA. Only Congress can do it, and we have a Republican congress and they're the ones who pushed it through in the first place. Now my husband is against all free trade, without really studying the issue and realizing the many facets. I've tried to explain to him that when trump goes around making his little "deals" with companies it's really all for show. Even if/when the companies come back to the U.S., they're not going to bring back the factories as they once were. Not in this age of technology. My husband's biggest problem is that he doesn't study the issues. He just comes to easy conclusions based on little information. You know, like a trump supporter. It's really, really hard not to use the word "stupid". |

17. John Lewis' District???
Someone should remind Trump that the scope of his influence will soon encapsulate all 435 Congressional Districts, and the attendant problems that each of them face. Fixing and helping he says? Dismantling a program that provides 20 million citizens with health care, with no viable replacement in the works, does not seem like a good way to start. Break it and you will most assuredly own it Mr. Trump.

. . . John Lewis was on the front lines of the Selma-Montgomery march where he was beaten with clubs by Alabama state troopers, suffering a fractured skull.
I was a college student at a small state college in Alabama in the 1960's. Three of us went to Montgomery for the end of the March where I was honored to shake hands with John Lewis and Rosa Parks. When he leaves us, John Lewis will be seated on the right hand of Martin Luther King . . . who sits on the right hand of God Almighty.
