There many enlightened, progessive people in Atlanta and you will find some real rednecks in Spokane.

Blue cities and red countryside in both. They don't look all that different to me.

. . . . . add color gradients to show population density. Most of the red would be a VERY pale shade of pink. The blues would be blinding.

Texas was closer than Iowa.

South Carolina, and even Mississippi, were closer than Indiana.

And, of course, Virginia did support the ticket.

And yet somehow, you feel the need to single out the Southern states in your OP.

No deal. Also sorry if you perceive this as a personal diss. It was not intended that way, and for myself, I find the better I am at leaving ego out of my gut reactions, the further my understanding grows. I think the facts speak for themselves.

The facts speak for themselves.

What is Georgia's minimum wage? Do you have legal marijuana? What about death with dignity?

I'm sorry for Americans who don't have these things. It is factual, not an opinion.

We'll keep fighting the good fight down here.

We understand that certain DUers think they're better than us because of where they live.

It's ok; no doubt life in NJ or PA, OH or WI is much, much better lol.

You have Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and in between you have Alabama.

That can be applied to many states: Milawukee and Madison and everywhere in Wisconsin you have Alabama, for example.

Run state government and make policy.

Sorry, you couldn't get me to move to a southern state under ANY circumstances. On health care, labor laws, environmental protections, anti-discrimination, you name it.

Have you not read state by state comparisons?
