Judge Napolitano talked about visit to Trump tower -- frankly it is terrifying -- SCOTUS

Napolitano was on Shep Smith's show, which I almost never watch (though once in awhile Shep says things that are hilariously un-Fox -- he was very bemused by the Putin/prostitutes comment -- honestly I don't know how he even stays on Fox). Napolitano described his visit to Trump tower this morning to discuss Trump's "ideas" for his SUPREME COURT APPOINTMENT. Napolitano was trying to be polite as he is a Trump fan, and yet the details that leaked through are just stunning and frankly terrifying.

Trump is so delusional, so ignorant, and so egomaniacal that it may be even worse than we fear. The description (and again Napolitano wanted to flatter the Orange) was just surreal. The judge said that the initial matter Trump brought up was not about legal theory or SCOTUS but whether or not Napolitano believed the Russians hacked the election and/or had kompromat on Trump (basically it was a loyalty test though Napolitano didn't say that explicitly). Then Trump asked him very basic historical questions about the court that any junior high school student would know -- as in "can the court do this?" "Can the court do that?" "which president had the most impact on the court and how can I fill the court with MY people?" "Can the court allow me to tax and pass tariffs and so on w/out congress?" "Can the court allow me to do other things (to get around congress) if I install the right people?" Then he showed Napolitano his "secret" list, which contains Scalia clones apparently, and we can expect to learn of his choice next week or the week after next. Yay.

Of course I am paraphrasing but it was worse than even I would have expected. The total ignorance on display -- Trump really has NO IDEA what these institutions do -- just stunning -- Trump makes Bush II look like an absolute Rhodes Scholar. And of course it is wild ignorance combined with a completely unfettered, rampaging, vicious id that is out to punish and bully anyone who was or is "disloyal." Trump is loyal to nothing except Trump and his own desires.

Then Trump apparently thought it would be funny to ask Napolitano to scare the CEO of BOEING -- who was the next "guest" summoned to his office -- a CEO of a company that employs many Americans and which Trump for vague reasons has been bashing -- with various comments about how Boeing will be punished if the CEO doesn't fulfill the Orange's demands. Again I am paraphrasing but this is the gist of it (imho), and even given what we know already I find it stunning. The "funny" threats? The corruption? The blatant "I love Putin" agenda? The fact that he wants to use the court to force through HIS AGENDA and use the court to exert his will?

wanted to establish someone's credibility, you often ask questions for which you already know the correct answer.

Not saying that is the case here, as legal "facts" have varying interpretations. But still ...

Napolitano already has credentials. He's one of them, too. So, it would only prove our point about how stupid Herr Twittler von Shit Gibbon. But more importantly, I also think that gives Shit Gibbon von Geld Wasser too much credit for brains and fore thought. He's an idiot and doesn't know shit about running a successful business much less our country or how our government works.

That man murdered, possibly a million Iraqi citizens, and countless more lives around the world. Destabilized the entire middle east. He was every inch the egomaniac that Trump appears to be. He just had a different sort of public persona to hide his mendacious stupidity.

No, he was a fuckwit, and 'we' collectively as Americans allowed it to happen.
We have a chance to prevent Trump from going down the same path. It's going to take at least four grueling years of stonewalling, filibustering, and opposition, but we have the opportunity to keep Bush the most murderingest blood-drippingest president we ever had.

It's gonna suck. But we have no other choice.

I also presume he'll exercise restraint.

I suspect we'll be publicly reviled at the end of his tenure, with no end to the diplomatic bridges that will need to be rebuilt, but I don't know that I would sub in one mass murderer for a potentially reckless thief of a businessman and a sexual predator.

I could be wrong. But damn it... We KNOW what Bush did. And we know what his cronies enabled...
Unforgiveable.

After all it's worked so well for him in his business dealings.

Bankruptcy courts got him out of debt obligations that he didn't feel like paying - not once, but multiple times.

Burying contractors in legal battles has allowed him to not pay what he had contractually agreed to.

Courts got him out of two marriages, and who knows how else he has abused the court system.
