Trump sounded more like a Progressive Democrat than a Republican during his Inauguration

Speech. I was more than surprised. Well, he has shown to be unpredictable so far. He
has also spoken about not electing politicians who are all talk but no action. I sure hope
he will do what he can to keep his promises.

The Corporate Power people might not like his speech. Donald could possibly be the
type of person to ignore them.

I couldn't have been more surprised! We'll have to wait and see what will happen in
the coming months!

Good luck to all of us!

Where he acted as if he was going to help the impoverished. No, that was his starting of the blame wars. All things that go downhill from here on out will be blamed on minorities and the poor. All things.

Did you listen to the speech?

It was the most divisive speech at an inauguration I have ever heard (or heard of). He made it quite clear that he is only there for his supporters and NO ONE ELSE

WTF?

Do you even know what "progressive" means? Helpful hint: it's not talking about "gangs and violence" when the crime rate is the lowest it's been in 50 years, or saying "we're going to take our borders back". If you think anything Trump said sounded like "a progressive Democrat", you're mistaken; if you agreed with any of it, you're probably in the wrong party.

However the extreme nationalisim, the talk of blood of patriots, the picture of the country that is really improving as some sort of crime ridden hellhole echoes some themes in disturbing points of history.

If Trump really feels the country now is a hellhole at low crime, millions insured, wages rising, unemployment under 5%, #1 I'm not sure he can reach the bar he has set for himself. #2 I'm not sure his supporters can be convinced it's better if he improves it even a little.

I know nothing of Cal33's posting history but I really don't see what brought out all this bile and even a ban. So he heard some things that didn't sound frightening and he said so, what the hell is wrong with that. I'm absolutely no fan of Trump. He attracts the continued love and support of the worst among us. The very worst. Trump promised heaven on earth for everybody and, while I don't, for a second, believe that, I can't hate on somebody because they're gullible or find a glimmer of possible hope when they hear some insincere hyperbole and then post their thoughts. For the record, I found his speech to be insulting.
