I just saw Chris Christie.

At least my husband did, as we left the Amtrak train at Union Station. I turned around and saw a bunch of black suits around a portly rear end headed for the train. I hope I don't run into any more deplorables today.

The Metro stations were crowded and festive, with many groups of women in pussyhats. The red Drumpf hats were fewer, but every one I saw jumped out and tried to grab me by my eyesockets. Who are these people? One young woman wore a star-spangled dress with her ugly red hat. All I could do was turn and look away.

Checking into our hotel, we saw only people here for the march, laughing and chatting.

If today is any indication, tomorrow is going to be fantastic.
