Reaction by Law Enforcement and Security to Protestors

is increasingly violent. I'm fearful that people will die or be injured today in DC.

If you are planning to take part in protests today or tomorrow, please keep your eyes open and avoid being at the front of the crowd. There may be agents provocateurs near the front lines of the protests, attempting to provoke a violent response from LEOs.

Please be careful out there. If a violent reaction occurs, just slip out the back.

we dont want them to beat us or kill us for exercising our rights.

Even though the President urged people to beat protesters, the police should not.

Today (and tomorrow) people need to think about protesting safely. Overreactions by the police are going to be a commonplace thing.

That's what happens. Caution is advised right now.

thing I am going to do is walk up to the first cop I see and tell him I am a citizen and I have a right to do this.

And that we all do, and that his job is to protect my right to do this. I dont want to do this alone, because I might come off as a smart ass, but people have to do something.

Oh and that national website I wanted to create where we could all meet to plan protests, letter writing and phone calling campaigns, another idea was I want there to be 500 of us for every 50 of his supporters to greet him no matter where he goes, if he goes outside to get donuts , if he goes to Los Angeles to do something, everywhere.

Every time he shows up in public there needs to be hundreds of us protesting. This could be orchestrated in one place.

I detest violence. Today, that violence will feed on itself and cause many to say that the protesters deserve it. And there are people doing things to provoke a violent reaction. Those who are doing that are NOT on our side in any way. Anarchy is not a worthy goal.

However, we are only flesh and bone. We break easily. Timing is important. You seem to be misunderstanding me.

The goal of protest is to advance a cause. Today, there are no causes being advanced, because the police and others are focused only on stopping the protests and are frightened. That, as I know from experience, is a recipe for disaster. Remember Kent State, please.

Now, if you are not concerned with being able to protest on another day, then, by all means move to the front of the crowd and throw a brick or two. But, do so with the realization that you may wind up in a hospital or morgue. I'm not talking to the martyr-types today. Frightened people with firearms are very dangerous.

So, where will you be protesting tomorrow?
