This has been an awful fucking day! So....

Do yourself a favor..get out of the house or apt and go see the movie

Hidden Figures..

A Fantastic film which is both fun and true and illustrates how Govt. can accomplish wonders

I have never posted a go to film before in this forum but trying times
sometimes leads to rule breaking..

So get your mind off of Trump Trauma and go enjoy yourself with a box of pop corn with
a shot of butter in the middle and on top

Experienced the whole range of emotions, but afterwards I had to deal with the reality that there are those in power now who want to take us back to an era when women (and especially women of color) were not respected or recognized for their abilities.

I laughed at the empty stands because there weren't enough flunkies, friends and paying customers to fill any of them. I laughed at poor Melania in those 4 inch heels he probably insists on, didn't somebody tell the poor thing that walking to the White House was traditional? Thank goodness slightly inclement weather allowed her to ride. I laughed at the mostly empty Mall. I laughed at his over the top angry, self absorbed, overstated (carnage?) and divisive speech. Mostly, I laughed at this pinchbeck President thinking any of what he thinks the rest of us owe him is going to materialize.

I didn't laugh much during Nixon, I was young and took things too seriously. I laughed a hell of a lot during poor demented Reagan's terms, the country in the hands of a bunch of felons and Nancy's astrologer. I think we all had a lot of laughs at Stupid's expense.

I expect to laugh a lot now, especially at the bewildered expressions on the faces of Trump Chumps, wondering what the hell went wrong as they're getting screwed over without lube or affection. I'll laugh as I tell them they're just getting what they voted for because elections carry more consequences than using their smart phone to vote on DWTS or AI.

And I'll laugh at them as they look to heaven and no one swoops down to save their stupid asses from any of the destruction they brought on us.

I will take your recommendation for the movie. I'll watch it on Prime as soon as I get my set properly hooked up via Fire Stick.
