And counterproductive to any progressive action. Of course I don't know if she is the only ass on the Women's March board that let this petty slight occur, but she is definitely a history-ignorant ass.
Unlike our Democratic presidential candidate, she is will be unknown except for being someone who snuck into a good movement and stole most to the good will it represents because she is just ignorant.
Ninety-five percent of the thousands of brave, beautiful women who will march to protest the crude, cruel, crap that is donald trump voted for Hillary Clinton. They celebrated her and praised her and were proud to be led by her.
On the other hand there is linda sarsour and the similarly ignorant jerks who could have done something to prevent the travesty that is trump from happening, but instead helped him into office. Shame on her and those stupid enough and history-unaware enough to have done what she did. She has no business on the board of this movement. She is one of the people (cough-suzan sarandon-cough) that created the need for the movement.
My wife and I will be in the march in our town tomorrow, bedecked in our Hillary regalia. I suggest that those repulsed by this stupid twit go the the march anyway. Enjoy the company of thousands of honest and informed women who also tried to keep trump out of our government. Just carry a sign that says:
"Don't blame me. I voted for Hillary."

She's not our enemy despite being a Bernie Sanders supporter.

(11,123 posts)I don't care if she supported Bernie in the primary. I started out doing so myself.
But when it counted, she urged people to allow trump to win.
She is an enemy if she wants to insult the millions of Democrats who voted for a Democrat. That does not make her an ally. It makes her a petty pot stirrer.
Suppose the directors of the march said that since it is a Women's march, no one could wear any badges or pins or signs that supported Bernie. Would that be the kind of thing that would bring us together? Is that what you call an ally?
Her deliberate swipe at Hillary cheapens the march. Her ego and self-aggrandizement has hurt a wonderful idea. How on earth did the other "directors" let this go?
