My bus to the Women's March was canceled 3 hours before we were set to leave.

Here's the text of the cancellation email:

"URGENT Message to attendees of Long Island, NY Bus Transport to Women's March on Washington:

Here at Sunrise Junket we pride ourselves on bringing a quality product to our consumers. Unfortunately we have to relay some very unfortunate news. Sunrise Junket is a small event company that specializes in Long Island wine tours. We were asked to provide two buses for the Women's March on Washington. We reached out to a representative for Golden Class Limo, and were promised two coach buses. A deposit was made, confirmations were given, and planning began. You see, although we are a small company we decided to NOT PROFIT on this business transaction. The Women’s March on Washington is destined to be a historical event and we believe in everything it stands for. We believe in equality for all, we believe in the women’s right to choose, we believe that our daughters’ need a world where they know their voices can and will be heard. We priced each ticket knowing that it would cover the cost of the two coach buses and nothing more. And we were okay with that.

This afternoon, at just before 5pm, the aforementioned Golden Class Limo representative contacted us stating that someone had offered the company an exorbitant amount of money for the two buses that had been reserved for us. Despite our confirmation, despite our deposit, our vendor turned their backs on us and we were left with nothing. We worked tirelessly for several hours contacting everyone we possibly could here on Long Island, NYC and NJ to see if we could somehow, someway provide transportation to the March. Our hearts are broken, our heads are hung low and we are sorry to say we were unable to find a company with transportation available.

We realize the disappointment, inconvenience, and sadness this will cause for our consumers. We are saddened and disappointed as well. A full refund will be issued immediately to all with our sincerest apologies being sent. Please know that we have every intention to proceed legal action and, needless to say, Golden Class Limo has been removed indefinitely from our vendor pool.

and of course the one in NYC looks completely jammed..they are way way way beyond the overflow and had to close additional streets. I guess everybody isn't adhering to their start times...or maybe they are and it's just so massive. I'm supposed to show up at 3:00 but I'm getting very antsy.

5. I feel sorry for the small local tour company that arranged the trip.

Sunrise Junket had made their deposit and received their confirmation. They IMMEDIATELY refunded my money when Golden Class Limo reneged, and it became clear that no replacement buses would be available. This is a small business that is going to take a big hit over Golden Class Limo's greed and lack of business ethics.

8. Bad customer review

CHEATS, LIARS & THIEVES! STAY AWAY!
I reserved a car and they took my credit info. When the car arrived at the airport, it was dirty and an old model. Anyway, on our way to Manhattan, I told the driver I needed to make 1 stop. He said it wasn't a problem. When I arrived at my destination, the driver told me my total and I told him that the total he quoted was twice the amount I was told during the reservation. He called his dispatcher and said that the new total is the correct amount. I immediately called the company and asked to speak to the owner.

He kept telling me that with the added stop, my new total is twice as much. I asked him why is the total double. He just kept saying, in a VERY RUDE TONE, that this is the price and I must pay it. I told him I was only going to pay the original total plus an extra $10 for the added stop. He started yelling at me saying he will charge the credit card for his amount and I would have no choice in the matter. This guy was not only VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL, but also a person who doesn't know the meaning of customer service. I will definitely never call this company again and I advise anyone else to call a different company. THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD WITH A LIMO COMPANY!

9. I hope the legal action will make the name of the person or org who offered the money public

and that the compensation will outweigh the the 'exortibant' amount. And that 'Golden Class Limo' (shit, it sounds like a company with Trump's ideals, doesn't it?) will thus come out a big loser (though I suspect some scumbag with deep pockets would find a way to reimburse them).

11. My husband was berated in Oceanside at a middle school footbal game

for wearing a Hillary button. "How dare you wear that button with that shirt!"

The shirt was an FDNY hoodie. He's a 9/11 survivor who fell through the cracks in the medical program due to the unusual nature of his post-9/11 illness.

Senator Clinton fought hard to get him and others like him included in the medical monitoring program.In addition to getting him care, her efforts also save my family $800 a month in prescription costs.

How dare he indeed.
