I was a "victim" of a hate crime on Friday
I put victim in parentheses because while I was accosted because of my sign, he started it but I well and thoroughly finished it. He's probably traumatized. I'm not.
Here's how it went down. I went to a much smaller protest in Seattle on Friday night. The front of my sign said "Where are your Taxes?", and the back said, as so many did, "This Pussy Grabs Back". There weren't many people yet and I heard someone yell, "Hey, Bitch, you want me to grab your pussy?!" I turned around, set my sign down and gave him my Terri doesn't take shit stare. It's always worked. People look away and walk away. I wasn't scared and once I knew for sure he was targeting me, I was angry. But, I was determined not to start anything. Then he walked up to me and was less than an arms reach away. He grabbed my breast, I grabbed his shoulder and my knee went up his crotch hard. He went down hard. I picked up my sign and left him with his friends.
Today, my knee hurts so I must have racked him but good.
I guess that's why I decline to call myself a victim. Yeah, it was hateful and he started it but I well and truly ended it.

A very young douchebag yelled 'lock her up' at me as we walked back to the car. I told him to get out of his car so we could discuss it further, but he declined. Despite being on the smallish side, I can bench more than most similar sized men and have a vile temper when physically threatened. These assholes will learn that it is one thing to talk trash behind their computer screens and a total other thing in the real world.
neutralized by a woman/girl... and it really messes with the heads of onlookers when you confront the rest as though you're gonna enjoy looking at them in a heap on the ground.
I'm not a violent person but I have had to defend myself physically and always ended the ordeal with me walking away from a pile of idiot (only one body) on the ground. It wasn't pretty, didn't feel good about it but realized what I had in me and to try to harness that energy and put it to good use.

Divide us into people they want to fuck and people they do not want to fuck (sorry to be graphic, but it is what it is). Any woman who challenges them goes into the 'do not want to fuck' category and is then eligible for insults. Except they still look at your butt as you walk away 
I was an amateur-elite athlete in my younger days. I would complete an impressive athletic accomplishment, and there were many men who couldn't even SEE the truth in front of their eyes. They would discount by saying they didn't want to have sex with me (lol, never an option that was on the table from my perspective) or whatever insulting, pointless thing they could think of. There is NOTHING that makes them feel more tiny and insecure than a woman who can beat them in typically male areas of sport and physical accomplishment.
That guy assumed he could touch your body without your consent and you corrected that pretty damn quickly! That is going to hurt him way more than his sore balls

Love that you're a Leo like me I don't take shit from anyone if they start it first. Though I've never had the opportunity to do it in the way you did, I'm pretty sure I'd do the same thing if some guy grabbed my breast or anything else. I'm just not intimidated by anyone - never have been.

I am non violent but I feel this changing, only slightly. I would approve of your response but not shooting, surely. If this kind of crap becomes normal I may start wearing knee pads and they will not be for the reason some might think.
This always gets worse for women when men are encouraged to do what many of them wanted to do all this time but felt some restraint. It is just another ism that usually does not get taken seriously. Of course there are men who would never consider this kind of behavior, (there it is guys, the essential qualifier ) but the others are out there, I cannot even imagine this happened to you.
I hope you are OK. This can really take a toll on a person, many times much later when they realize they were treated this way.
He should be brought to court over it...IMO.
It's your choice, of course, but I like to see people like him have a criminal sexual assault record.
