What a weasel. "well, they used pictures that were taken at different times - Trump's was 45 min before the ceremony
and
"don't forget, the public holds a very low regard for the media"
and other Ari-like nuggets. It was as (un)satisfying as one would expect.

(297,794 posts)They need their own station.. and I mean REALITY BASED.. not some hate mongering propaganda channel.
We need Reality NEWS.. damn it

(15,438 posts)reported and our elected officials are held to account. It's high time some of the billionaires on our side start investing in something like that. Thing is, a few too many loud voices on the left will criticize the programming like crazy, just as they had CurrentTV, and they dissuaded too many who eventually turned away, making it unprofitable.
But profit shouldn't be the goal. Educating the American electorate, should.
We have powerful voices on our side: Joy-Ann Reid, Lawrence O'Donnell, Keith Olbermann, Martin Bashir, etc. If ever the time was ripe for a cable channel that will hold corrupt Republicans to account, it's now. If people like George Soros, Buffet, Bloomberg, and Mark Cuban, donate, and Spielberg and Lucas collaborate as creative executive directors, for example, we can have a counter to Faux News and the progressively Republican-leaning MSNBC.
It can be done.

(15,438 posts)successful dumbing-down of the American electorate who still don't know the all-important roles the executive, legislative, and judicial branches play in our Gov't - not to mention mayors, State-reps and senators.
Gerrymandering of districts really need to be addressed.
And you're so correct! Cenk need not apply and Schultz, Hartmann, and Hayes, neither. It should be REALITY based, and pointing out discrepancies in Republican propagandists should be one of the many goals.

Stark Truth! Calling out the trumpLiars and getting the Real Word out on what Dems stand for.. and have Dems on.. those Dems we never get to see. Tired of the same ol ones they trot out.. that I hear about anyway.
This country got so dumbed down it elected trump the predatory reality star for pResident.. we have officially hit rock bottom.. there is no lower.
Time to start climbing out of the abyss.

(6,409 posts)They often talk to some right wing liar for the "other perspective." Treating known liars as credible is as bad as lying.

(865 posts)admirable NPR programs, I have been disappointed in them last year or two. In addition to listening on radio, I had their app on my mobile devices. Had. The election coverage was that imbalanced thing that some media orgs wrongly called equivalency.
