Melania and Michelle were talking to one another off to the side when President Obama placed his hand on Trump's back to direct him inside. Both Obama and Michelle assisted Melania afterwards.

There are plenty of other examples of Trump ignoring Melania. This wasn't one of them. Trump simply followed Obama's lead.
