Trump told Congessional leaders 'illegals' cost him popular vote

President Trump's first White House meeting with congressional leaders was, by all accounts, a cordial affair.

But Trump apparently couldn't resist taking a jab across the aisle, telling the gathering of bipartisan leaders that he'd lost the popular vote only because of rampant voter fraud by "illegals," according to a pair of sources familiar with the conversation.

"He said 3-5 million 'illegals' voted so that's why he lost popular vote," said a Democratic aide.

"That's exactly what he said," said a second source familiar with the exchange.

Trump secured his presidency victory by winning the Electoral College vote, 304-227. But his opponent, Democrat Hillary Clinton, won the popular ballot by almost 3 million votes.

Can I please switch places with Nancy Pelosi? 70 something years old...end of my career, just got re elected...I would let him have it. I want to know what the response was from the Senate and House "Leaders" to this unsubstantiated statement.

This man as we all know....cannot be trusted with anything. NEVER have I distrusted an administration such as this. I was just a little kid when Nixon was Pres...but he has to be better than this Trashpot.

I really feel that Trashpot is creating an opposition wave. A lot of people are interested who were not before.
