ENOUGH ALREADY

All of here at DU have known for a long time what a horrible human being Donald J. Trump is. The rest of the electorate (except for the minority holdouts) are beginning to open up their eyes that Trump is on his way to destroying us. We MUST demand that politicians, who we elect, do their job and get this madman out of the White House ASAP. We must not stand idly by. I suppose what that means for all of us is jamming the phone lines to our Senators and Congress people, requesting they do what they can to get this man indicted and impeached.

It means we need to march in the streets on a very regular basis. We need to make a lot of noise and we need to revolt. This cannot stand.

is NOT a reason to try to get trump removed if he has done an impeachable offense. He also might be able to be removed through the 25th amendment without going through impeachment

impeached? Is he mentally fit to be President? If not, the 25th amendment might be able to remove him.

My point is, any of those thing would create a delay in their destructive agenda. Delay is good. Less damage

Pence, by contrast, gives the appearance of normalcy. But Pence is a modern GOP politician who cannot compromise. Either way, the GOP is in charge.

In my view, I think Pence is the least insane of the two.

Religious zealotry is more focused; Trump is inconsistent, vicious, vengeful, impulsive, explosive, illiterate and forgetful. More urgently, I don't think anyone or anything can control him, not even Ivanka or Putin. Not even his love of money.

I think we lose a lot of rights and progressive ground in the US including economic recession with Pence, but I am more concerned with Trump we get a depression at the best hope and WWIII at best guess, and nuclear winter as an outside possibility.

Just my take.

I just know that he has access to a luxury bunker for himself and a couple of thousand of his friends, with enough supplies for hundreds of years.

But you are correct, I am being hyperbolic and pessimistic and slightly irrational -- and that is truly NOT my normal personality setting.

It's not that he surprises me each day; it's that I'm more disgusted each day.

He'd be less volatile to start an international incident, and he'd also be tainted by association to Trump so that hobble him.

Neither is preferable, but President Pence is like being bit by a Copperhead. President Trump is like being bitten by a Black Mamba. Both are dangerous and can cause damage, but one is much more serious than the other.
