http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/brian-sandoval-obamacare-repeal_us_5888f1fae4b0737fd5cb035c?wlakmx6r&Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval (R) warned Congress on Wednesday about the consequences of repealing the Affordable Care Act without an adequate replacement for millions of people insured under the law.
Sandoval, who opted to expand Medicaid under Obamacare for Nevadas neediest residents, said he likes what hes heard so far about a replacement for the law. But the governor added there are a lot of lives at stake with its possible repeal and said he hoped congressional leaders would take them into consideration.
We have a state run insurance exchange. Its working well for us. There are a lot of lives at stake, with regard to decisions that are made here, Sandoval said at an event hosted by the National Governors Association near Capitol Hill.

(20,868 posts)In my earlier thread that we should be painting Republican all over news like this. The likes of Sandoval and other Republican scum have a habit of running with the hare and hunting with the hounds. Don't leave them off the hook.

(34,661 posts)Here in Nevada,we are dependent on our Hispanic Friends to keep us afloat. Being totally dependent on the Entertainment Industry and Tourism, and those two groups are Staffed by Hispanic Americans and are dependent on ACA. The Tea Party fought ACA for years and as a result,we pay a larger portion of the upfront costs. Before ACA,Private Health Care Premiums were stupid ridiculous with pure garbage coverage. Who the heck can afford 18k per year in Premiums with 3-7k deductibles, and now with the Dems controlling the State Legislature, the GOP is pulling out all the stops to remain relevant.

(82,849 posts)What are you going to do about this? You already endorsed Trump for president. How are you going to make a difference for the people who you yourself say are going to die when your party nullifies the Affordable Care Act? You hope congressional leaders will consider the lethal ramifications of their reckless plans. As the old saying goes, hope in one hand and shit in the other, see which one fills up first.

(601 posts)Its a worry for the administration and lawmakers, who have to build a two-year spending plan that could be blown to bits if the federal government yanks subsidies for Medicaid expansion and policies purchased through the state health exchange.
As far as Sandoval goes, I will give him partial credit. In a world full of mouth-breathing R Governors, Sandoval is pretty even-keeled. If we had a Brownback-y type governor through the worst of the recession, state workers probably still have cuts and furloughs...or worse yet, jobless.
