(550 posts)I had a meeting cancelled this week, dealing with EPA compliance...we rescheduled for early Feb...and half jokingly mused as to whether or not there would even be an EPA by then.

(24,402 posts)my stress levels have never been quite so high other than when "W" was in office. But even then there was sort of a break or some "breathing room" between the outrages. With Trump and the GOPers in Congress, I'm having difficulty not getting worked up over every new EO, Tweet, or news story detailing how off the rails Trump is going on just about every front. Somebody is going to have to get him to calm down or focus or he needs to be removed from office. We are not going to last even a year with him at the helm at this pace.

(63,221 posts)It's a non-stop assault on my sanity, my senses, my humanity - all that I thought was decent in the world. Someone just make it stop.
I just want one piece of good news for once.

(31,514 posts)The subject of DT came up, of course, and our conversation became quite animated. After a while her granddaughter arrived to spend the night and she had to go. Her last remark was "Thanks for venting with me". I have a feeling we're going to be doing a lot of that.

(1,685 posts)Am exhausted already, just trying to keep track of all the horrible "news."
Who knows what is "real? " Does an edict from him equate to actionable policy? Or do some need Congressional approval? He does not seem to know or care, nor does it look like the people writing his pronouncements know either.
Just words to enthuse his base, as far as I can tell. Still campaigning.
