(21,046 posts)My first rock concert was the Righteous Brothers in 1964.
I was with Big Sister, Mom, and the Grandparents.
I think the grandparents were honestly convinced that they were a gospel group.
The grandunits sat there FROZEN and TERRIFIED. It was loud and those clean-cut white boys were singing that "nigra music".
HORRORS!!
Mom got a headache at the first chord and flew out on her broom to the lobby.
Big sister and I were on the front row of the balcony groovin' on it.

(68,436 posts)us are overweight, but that has nothing to do with our politics--nor does it necessarily mean we are vicious, immoral, selfish, nasty, or otherwise worthy of your disdain.
He is an a**h**e because of the politics he pushes that harm the most vulnerable and benefit the most powerful, not because he has trouble controlling his eating habits and his weight.

Christi is the opposite of everything Springsteen has written about for four decades. Kudos to Mr. Springsteen for being so polite to Mr. Christi as to not say "fuck you".

What, did you think "Born in the USA" was a "Rah Rah Reagan" anthem? Uh . . . NO.
