(33,424 posts)It was codified into law in 1952. (8 USC 1158). Border control is allowed to ask about religion, among many factors, to determine refugee status.

(33,424 posts)And I have been questioned about my international travel many times when I got back. This guy was not detained (even though for drama he claimed he was) and in the large view of things it was no big deal.

(14,040 posts)Just because this is "allowed" doesn't make it right. And do I get added to some list if I don't proclaim to be a Christian? Then I'm on two lists, the non-Christian list and the Homo list. Yay!
