It puts the pressure on Congress to speed up Jeff Sessions confirmation.

Yates did what was morally correct but politically wrong.

I'm glad she stood up, but it actually helps Trump by doing what she did.

I think it makes him look weak and stupid. If he had brains he would have waited until after the AG was confirmed before he pulled this shit.
Yes, this puts pressure on Congress to confirm a new AG. But that means that Democratic filibuster is very meaningful. It gives Democrats some leverage.

His base thinks it makes him strong.

His opponents are now likely a little more fearful because they can be fired at will.

I think she forced his hand. There's no way he couldn't fire her for the way she worded it. I support her completely and think what she did was right, but her getting fired was the obvious next move.

Now Boente will toe the line and not push back, which normalizes the behavior of Trump.
