there have been no serious repercussions. Seems to be going as planned to me.

Major Responsibilities of the U.S. Marshals Service
The U.S. Marshals Service is the nation’s oldest and most versatile federal law enforcement agency. Federal Marshals have served the country since 1789, oftentimes in unseen but critical ways. To this day, the Marshals occupy a uniquely central position in the federal justice system. It is the enforcement arm of the federal courts, and as such, it is involved in virtually every federal law enforcement initiative.

... my understanding is that they (US Marshalls) have not been directed to enforce (the opposite by some reports) ... seems to me that that is the enforcement arm of the executive branch NOT doing what they are supposed to do.

I do have some (only some) sympathy for agents on the ground as they can only do as directed .... but are still required to enforce the constitution. The USCBP are part of the exec branch as they are under the department of Homeland Security.

I agree with Elizabeth Warren on this ... i do believe we are facing a constitutional crisis.

That's why process service folks have to be so creative. In absence of service, CBP/DHS are able to legally claim they have no knowledge of the order.

Just remember - smarmy criminals and their lawyers can always scam the system to get their way. Maybe in the long run they pay for it but it's a really long run and it's as easy as nailing warm jello to the wall.
