I plan on asking my senators to fillibuster Gorsuch and I've been having problems getting through to their offices (I still try every day at all 3 offices) and am planning on sending mail.
Could I use a blank index card as a postcard or should I go buy postcards?

(42,641 posts)Mail to the home office is another matter. But visits to the home office also work well.

(2,573 posts)I printed them at work today on regular paper but I think I have some card stock so I'm going to try that.
Is your Index Card 4x6?

(50,557 posts)An index card is a little too thin to go through the mails and it's 1/2" too small in the short direction to get the Postcard rate...plus, mailing index cards as postcards makes you look like a cheap bastard.

4" x 6" Index cards do qualify.

(2,535 posts)Be sure to make sure they can see the return address clearly. The address tells the office staff you live in the representatives district Short and hand written is best. Brief and to the point. They don't get many of these and they know it takes time.
It depends what you are asking for. They have an enormous amount of email they have to delete.
Now if you are asking for a grant, use the libraries printer.
