These are the emails we should be getting from Senate Democrats - not Gillibrand's !!!

Mine arrived right after Trump's announcement of his illegitimate nomination of Gorsuch - thank you Sen. Merkley.

Donald Trump has nominated Judge Neil Gorsuch for the Supreme Court, a man described by the New York Times as "a reliably conservative figure in the Scalia tradition."

Nominating a right-wing judge to the seat that was stolen from President Obama in a brazen attempt to pack the court is enormously damaging to the integrity of the Supreme Court.

If this tactic succeeds, it will set a dangerous new precedent and I'm determined to resist it. I will filibuster this illegitimate nomination.

Tthe title of the post included "Senate Democrats"- which seems reasonable to me.

Did you want "Senate Democratics"? Perhaps "Senators of the Democratic persuasion" or "Senators who identify as members of the Democratic Party" would better suit you?

Seriously, I do not understand this level of "nitpicking" among like-minded people...

President Trump just announced Neil Gorsuch as his nominee to the Supreme Court, and I’m ready to consider him on his merits.

But President Trump has made it clear that he wants a justice who will carry on Scalia’s legacy of limiting Americans' constitutional rights. If that is the case, let me make one thing very clear: You can count on me to fight back against ANY nomination that threatens the rights of Americans.

Considering him on his merits is her job. Pointing out his judicial philosophy is a problem for her is simply the truth.
