Oreo posted the photoshopped picture of an Oreo cookie stuffed with rainbow-colored layers of frosting Monday evening with the caption Proudly support love!
Over the past 17 hours more than 157,000 people have liked the image, 40,000 people have shared it and 20,000 have commented on it.
But while many of the comments were supportive, some Facebook users pledged to boycott the cookie because of the post.
Ill never buy Oreo again, one commenter wrote.

(24,461 posts)PACK IT IN bastards, and grow the fuck up already. Women love women, men love men, fuck off, move into 2012. Nobody cares but you, and you're mistaken to think that their human rights are yours to give them.
These SOBs are an abomination in MY eyes . . . Christians who doesn't fucking ACT the part.

I'm not a FaceBook user but I would say 157,000 "likes" in 17 hours is pretty impressive. But, in order to create the perception of "controversy," the store-bought media has to bring up the arguments of the conservatives, so let's say half of the 20,000 comments are negative. That would be 10,000, and that would be generous to the negative contributors, ("But while many of the comments were supportive, some Facebook users pledged to boycott..."
The ratio of "likes" to "negative" comments? "157,000 to 10,000," or "15.7 to 1." But hey, store-bought media have to be constantly pushing the GOP-talking points!
