I have instructed Homeland Security to check people coming into our country VERY CAREFULLY. The courts are making the job very difficult!
I will be interviewed by @oreillyfactor at 4:00 P.M. (prior to the #SuperBowl Pre-game Show) on Fox Network. Enjoy!

(10,252 posts)Pre-blaming a Fed judge if anything happens. Trump is like a dog with a bone he dug up. Just can't let it go. They will take this all the way to the SCOTUS. Just you watch. And if they lose there, will try to get some sort of congressional bill passed.

(7,723 posts)Does he really think we let random people in from these countries before? Does he know no terrorists have come from these countries but have come from other countries he hasn't blocked? He does realize we check people when they get here? He realizes we have the FBI and police working against terrorism all the time? Why is he so freaked out about this?
torius
(1,652 posts)He wants to stir up hatred against Muslims so he can go toward the Final Solution. Rounding them up and deporting them or if they are from here, putting them into camps. And if people beat or kill them, no punishment, because there will be a national Stand Your Ground so if a Trump supporter "feels threatened" they can shoot.
Hitler ran a 10-year propaganda campaign against Jews, so by the time they started rounding them up, the public didn't care. Propaganda is much faster now.

(7,908 posts)Trump's appearance with counsel to explain why he should not be found in contempt. Failure to appear would render Trump immediately subject to contempt charges and arrest by U S Marshalls.
Ms. Toad
(38,742 posts)I haven't heard that he has done anything to violate the order. Did I miss something?
KingCharlemagne
(7,908 posts)Court order. Referring to the judge as "so-called" and now this display contempt for the court and for the rule of law.
Ms. Toad
(38,742 posts)The court does not have broad discretion to find someone in contempt merely because they are defending a case in that court. The court has to have some basis for jurisdiction over the behavior - and the person being held in contempt must be given notice and an opportunity to be heard.
The court is no more dictator than Trump is - it can't just reach out and smack you upside the head because you are being a jerk.
KingCharlemagne
(7,908 posts)judge "so-called,", that is the very essence of "contempt," i.e., not just "snarky." His Honor most certainly can cause to be issued an Order to Show Cause. upon Trunp s failure to appear, His Honor can issue a warrant for failure to appear.
Ms. Toad
(38,742 posts)I'd certainly like to see a case citation if you have evidence to the contrary. Using the power of the court to avenge name calling is well outside anything I have experienced a law school administrator and attorney for nearly 2 decades.
