Kmart and Sears drop Trump(from websites)

There’s a good chance that you haven’t been inside either a Kmart or a Sears in decades. Most Americans haven’t, which is why the brands (both owned by Sears) are in trouble.

On Thursday, they might have had some inspiration, though. Nordstrom dropped their line of Ivanka Trump clothing and jewelry brand and despite a bitter tweet from Ivanka’s father, their stock surged.

“As part of the company’s initiative to optimize its online product assortment, we constantly refine that assortment to focus on our most profitable items,” a Sears Holdings spokesperson told Business Insider. “Amid that streamlining effort, 31 Trump Home items were among the items removed online this week. Products from the line are still offered online via third-party Marketplace vendors.”

While you can still find some items for Trump home and some shoes in Ivanka’s line on their third-party part of their website, here’s what happens when you search the store part of Kmart’s website.

Hate Walmart. Kmart was great when you needed socks or household stuff...easy parking, no lines at the checkout...no one shopped there but me I think. The building will soon be a Harbor Freight.

One the one hand, it's all shitty made in China stuff. OTOH, sometimes $3 packet of jewelers files is just what I needed.

He's handy, fixes our cars and things around the house, used to drive an hour round trip to the nearest one, will be 5 min.

flooring sold and installed but they keep losing money. The K-mart (it replaced a Grants) in Great Barrington, Ma just closed in December, leaving no discount or department stores there. It was the last K-mart in Berkshire county. It will suck if Sears/K-Mart goes out of business.
I've been in both Sears and K-mart in the last year. Actually bought stuff, too.
So I'm glad they stopped carrying the psycho's junk and I can continue to shop there.

Just try to get customer service from an Amazon seller. I dare you.

Sears will deliver and setup and refund all of that when it goes wrong in a very timely and friendly manner. 24/7 customer service available.

I've had no such luck with Amazon. I have had to fight over $10 items before.

Just sayin...

8. Sears....I can remember back in 1978 when they refused my purchase....

because I wanted to pay with a credit card for a chain saw. Yeah well...it wasn't a SEARS CC so they wouldn't accept it as payment. I've only been in a Sears once since then and that was to get a replacement remote for my garage door opener. And then their marketing stupidity years ago with all those electronics saying SEARS in bold letters on them--bawhahahaaaaa!! No thanks! They just shut one down here in a mall that had been there since the 80's.

RIP Sears. Bet you never thought in a MILLION years this could happen to a GIANT like Sears.

A new issue is that you can not make even a small purchase at Sears without giving them your name and address. I refused. I should be able to buy with cash without being in a database or on a mailing list

...pick out all my school clothes from the Sears catalog. They had really cute skirts and sweaters, which were the uniform of the day, so to speak, at that time. Girls were not allowed to wear pants "back then." I used to pore over the catalog for hours before making my choices, and was always eager for the arrival. The items were of good quality, and quite attractive. I still remember what some of them looked like. That was then.

The Christmas catalog was always fun, too.

Haven't shopped for clothes in a Sears since then.

Neither Kmart nor Sears had ever carried Trump Home in their physical stores.
The report comes after merchandise by President Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump was pulled from Nordstrom, and TJ Maxx stores stopped advertising her products.
