Trump is arguably a TWILIGHT ZONE episode designed to test the resolve of Democrats to NOT investigate or prosecute the misdeeds of Republicans presidents and VP's since at least Iran Contra.

Will this finally break them of giving that slack to Republicans that they NEVER get in return?

To do what is needed. And that would be at least a full truth and reconciliation of what has taken place. Since the time of the Vietnam war we have engaged in sweeping our messes under the rug. And because of this failure in reconciling our wayward actions we have had multiple republican administrations engaging in actions purely for political gain that should have sent them to prison.
