So if FBI was wiretapping Flynn in Russia talks, why not Kobach & co on Cross Checkvoter purges?

Even without that section of the Voting Rights Act being enforced anymore, isn't it some kind of crime to intentionally disenfranchise people without just cause?

And what are the chances that those assholes didn't pat themselves on the back for keeping blacks from voting?

They were monitoring Ambassador Kislyak, and Flynn showed up in the conversations.

Embassies and consulates are considered to be the territory of the country they represent. I have no doubt whatever that all calls to and from those are monitored routinely. Now, there's a lot of encrypted stuff going in and out of those places, and maybe that stuff isn't being monitored and unencrypted, but I wouldn't bet on it.

So, it may just be that those are technically foreign calls. I'm not sure of how that is set up, really. However, I would bet a great deal that no communications pass out of those places unmonitored, either legally or otherwise.
