OK, just how many ways can you call a lie a lie without saying the word?

I swear, I've heard almost all of them today.

falsehood
alternate truth
misstatement
wrongful statement
misspoke
deception
inaccuracy

WHY CAN'T THEY JUST HE LIED!

1. That is what bothers me about NPR coverage ... call a lie a lie !

2. Because the word lie implies knowing intent to deceive.

The euphemisms used in place of "lying" allow wiggle room that the person isn't being knowingly dishonest, ie: lying.

4. I understand lie implies deceit. I happen to believe the majority of what the Con says

IS knowingly and intentional lies. The Con acts quite stupid sometimes, but he's most times dumb like a fox. He know he's lying and just doesn't care. Somehow h's convinced his voters they never have to question him!
