Oath of Office Violated?

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States

How should we reconcile the verbal and written (tweeted) attacks on a free press with the First Amendment of the Constitution? I have trouble doing so and hope that those who have sworn an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic recognize this threat.

And at every opportunity. Come on people, make those calls, show your faces. At every opportunity let it be known that now is the time to stand forth against this very real threat to our Constitution.

Since Republicans are now hiding from their town hall meetings and they consider our email/fax/tweet/facebook/phone bombardment to be an annoyance funded by Soros, rather than a noble, organic uprising like the Teabagger movement, they simply don't listen.

Tell me what I should do that will make the least bit of difference.

If reach out efforts are stonewalled then talk to your neighbors, your friends. Build critical mass, stand up. Hand made yard signs, become the neighborhood crank, be visible in your truth.

And they only care about that part to the extent that they can oppress people with it.

He clearly has NO ability, so he is technically in compliance, since what we are seeing is 'the best' of his ability.

Inability is no excuse and in fact would be even more grounds for a 25th Amendment solution.

He is performing to the best of his ability. Unfortunately for everyone is his distinct lack of ability.

There are many more of us who swore our oaths to defend the Constitution. 45 may not understand the breadth and depth of the population of real patriots who stand in opposition to his unconstitutional and unamerican attacks on the free press.
