He's said a random bunch of things that have bordered on misogyny, or culturally insensitivity in the past.

But it must be hard being the living incarnation for millions of followers. We all have off days I guess...

From the article: "Germany has a population of 80 million people and has accepted over 1 million refugees."

If we allowed the same proportion of refugees into the U.S., with our population of 325 million, it would be over 4 million.

Instead, we have received just 13,000 refugees from Syria.

So I'd say, while we have done little to help with the crisis, Europe has absorbed huge numbers of people. I don't blame Europeans for being concerned.

The refugees TOO. THE U.S. sure got out of taking in our share of the Syrian refugees, that's for sure!

Isolationist tendencies haven't done us well in the past. It seems to have kicked us in the ass, actually. Luckily for the nationalists we don't have much of a memory anymore.
