We were also told CNN's description of Trump aides being in 'constant touch' with Russians was overstated. However, our sources did tell us that intelligence intercepts picked up contacts among Trump aides and Russians during the campaign

If the FBI told Priebus the same thing, could explain why he asked them to publicly down-play the reports.

(35,427 posts)Anyone who has two rubles in their pocket is indebted to Putin. Thus, everyone, esp. wealthy Russians, works for Putin. If you are Russian and have contacts with high profile Americans like Trump's aides, you will be called upon to relay that information back to Putin.
