(10,789 posts)...but then you would think if it were such a business-wide and problematic thing, if the repugs have been against regulations for so long, they might have a list of some sort, regulations that they would like to get rid of. Apparently they don't.
So the SCROTUS has put together task forces to take a look at what all the hoopla has been about. I can say, if I were complaining about something for half of my life, I'd have a pretty solid plan about fixing it if I suddenly had the means. That they have to scramble to assemble teams to begin to plan just makes me think it was more of the standard hot air. They'll come up with some showpiece token legislation at some point, for the sake of headlines, but they won't do much.
For the most part things that are regulated are regulated for a reason. The other day I heard a big coal guy all hopeful on NPR about what it would take to bring back the jobs; his list was clear - end clean power subsidies, end clean water regulations (for arsenic, heavy metals and so forth), end clean air restrictions, etc...
