Who is telling you your opinion doesn't count?

There are certainly some progressives who don't consider any opinion that doesn't toe a certain line to be valid, but that isn't what I think. Opinions from other Democrats are always welcome. However, I certainly do make a clear distinction between expressing opinions and condescending, finger-wagging lectures, especially from people who are not members of the Democratic Party. Tom Perez is an adult, demonstrably capable of managing the job to which he was elected. He does not need or deserve to have to listen to a disrespectful rant from anyone telling him how to do his job. I think that is pretty insulting.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
