The NYT Oscars ad. Does it work?

I didn't think it was working until the "Truth is hard" ending. I'm not sure everyone will stick with it till that point. What do you think?

nyt saying "truth is hard" seems defensive and may reinforce donnie's attacks that they might get it wrong a lot.

The talking in the background was a distraction. Let's put it this way, I watched the entire oscars from beginning to end and don't recall that commercial at all. Not a good sign.
