Trump and his puppet master, Bannon

Last edited Mon Feb 27, 2017, 01:38 PM - Edit history (3)

A majority of American voters understand that Trump is unfit to occupy the office of President of the United States.

But what of those Americans who don't "get it?" Those who believe the daily fantasies, second-hand tales, and total lies that have been coming out of Trump’s mouth from the day he descended on his golden escalator, declared himself to be a candidate for president, and then proceeded to spout any random thought that popped into his head.

This was no surprise to most New Yorkers who have been stuck for years sharing Manhattan Island with him. But it was “Major News” to the millions who caught it on their TVs. And over a short period of time, millions of them began to view him as their “savior.”

His campaign was one in which he used his immense "talent" to belittle others and before long, he had turned enough of his opponents for the nomination into a bunch of “small,” “weak,” “sad,” “losers.” And he eventually succeeded in eliminating all of them.

And then, something really horrible happened. He chose Stephan Bannon, the head of the Breitbart, (an online blog that peddles poisonous hatred), as his main adviser. And in doing so, he attached himself at the hip with pure, unadulterated evil.

Now, Trump is the President of the United States. And Bannon is his chief adviser. What a combination: An ignorant man in the position of ultimate power who is under the sway of a man who is totally evil.*

So what about the other “co-equal” branches of government? Congress is completely controlled by Republicans who are bending down to kiss the ass of their new-found emperor. And the Supreme Court will shortly have a Trump appointee.

And let’s not forget that every cabinet position has been filled with people who are dedicated to destroying the departments in which they have been put in charge.

Welcome to the “New America.” Democrats hold none of the levers of power, so all we can do is demonstrate wherever and whenever possible. But the reality is that Trump/Bannon don’t give a rats ass about our protests.

Any half-way intelligent American, and almost all the rest of the world is watching us descend to a very dark place. And our ability to do anything about it is severely limited.

*For anyone who doesn’t know who and what Bannon is, here’s a link to a lengthy bio. Just scanning it will tell you all you need to know.
