There's no way to massively increase spending on implements of deah and still preserve anything progressive in our system.

There is no place in the world where a greater use of American force could possibly have any decent or humane results.

And we already have the largest war machine in human history...larger than we could possibly need.

A Democratic foreign policy approach should be about finding alternatives to sending in the Marines and the Delta Force-it should defend our territory from outside attack but it should NOT assume the primary role we should play in this world is the role of killer.

We're supposed to be a country...not an empire.
