If you are a person of color and a U.S. citizen, would you travel overseas this summer?

In light of the current atmosphere and chaos, with ICE seemingly out of control, would you travel overseas for vacation? Would you be worried about harassment upon reentry?

There is much talk about this in various circles in my world and I am curious what DU thinks about this.

leery. Maybe I'll go and stay the allowed 3 months and come back with her at Christmas, she doesn't want to visit this shit show, at least not while she has a reasonable country where she has no trouble except the trumpanistas who have come over and caused a little havoc in her life, thankfully they'll be gone shortly. She's on her Australian friends' side and so far they are on her's, but she's drawn a line in the sand.

"white" but I don't get that kind of reception from a lot of people and I'm not sure it's safe to travel outside my state of residence.

however, a 50 mile radius won't allow me to get to the grocery store. I do intend to stay in the state... Montana is big so I can enjoy a lot of it, and I feel okay in parts of Idaho. other than that, forget it. If something happens to my mom, I'll have to go to San Diego but I'll fly, I have a passport.

I'm black, there are certain areas I would never have gone to willingly, even before Trump. Worse now.
