We are off to see the Eric Whitacre ensemble singers at Duke Chapel. Kind of the opposite event - listening to beauty through music and voices.
Been looking forward to this event for a long time!

(56,848 posts)I'll be watching that since I watched the Oscars on Sunday night and did not finish TWD last night. if I finish TWD early, I'll watch The Flash.

(15,686 posts)And it was well into the 4th episode when I finally did watch it because my had son called me and told me he would never watch the show again. He said it had crossed a line into things so dark he didn't think he could stand to watch anymore. He did start watching again but we haven't talked much about it.
My younger daughter hasn't watched even one episode because she read a spoiler before seeing the first episode and felt similar to the way my son felt without having even watched it.
Sunday was Walking Dead family night for us. Our night included a no red meat, no red or green sauce, meal.
So, my question to you. Is it worth watching anymore? Does it get better after that first awful episode? Should I give it another try?
HoneyBadger
(2,297 posts)Very scattered. Still better than most shows.

I enjoy storms, but none coming, so my "picture" will have to include sounds of birds and other night critters drifting in the windows from out in the marsh. It's mating season here in Florida.
Enjoy.

I know the critics didn't really like it, and the ratings were disappointing.
But, I love it!

We have rehearsal tonight for the New Ark Chorale. We're doing 5 Frostiana pieces, some Ola Gjeilo works, Thompson Alleluia, Pinkham's Wedding Cantata, and other pieces. We also are working up some patriotic music for our annual Memorial Day "American Tapestry" concert. I'll be so busy I probably won't even be able to check my phone

I made some Sweet Tea this morning (I use a cup of home made simple syrup, 6 bags of Lipton Cold Brew and two bags of "Lady Lipton - an Earl Grey with an extra citrus kick in a gallon of water) and Laz has a now 16 year old McCallen's Single Malt to nurse while we play.
He's been wanting to play it for ages; he likes being Corp better than being a Runner.
The trick is to keep him off Twitter when we're playing.
