" Now that the U.S. Supreme Court has upheld President Barack Obamas health care reform law, will Fox News host Bill OReilly apologize? After all, he promised he would.
During a March 26 interview with American Constitution Society President Caroline Fredrickson, OReilly ended the interview by promising to apologize for being an idiot if the court upheld the law. The American Constitution Society President had argued that the law was constitutional based on Commerce Clause and Congress power to collect and spend revenue for the general welfare.
After OReilly threatened to end the interview if Fredrickson would not name one thing the federal government forces people to buy, she explained that the Affordable Care Act imposes a penalty, but does not force people to buy health insurance.
Its a form of a tax, she told the Fox News host.
Its a police power, OReilly interrupted. This is becoming absurd. Its a police power if you punish someone for not doing anything!
Sir, youre going to have to let me talk if you invite me on your show, Fredrickson pointed out.
No, I dont have to let you talk if youre not answering the question, OReilly shot back.
Ms. Fredrickson, youre going to lose and your arguments are specious, he added. Its absolutely police powers from the federal government and its going to be 5 to 4. And if Im wrong, I will come on and I will play your clip and I will apologize for being an idiot.

The wingnuts' shock over SCotUS brought them back to death panels, rationing, no O'LOOFAH apology

The local radio wingnuts started out their two hours in fairly non-psychotic condition but by the end one of them fulminated into a three or more minutes' rant about the HORROR of how people-like-him can tell dumbasses like me THE TRUTH but *nothing* will stop us from that ultimate abominable act of "VOTING FOR OBAMA." They both went on about how there will be RATIONING of treatment and there will be treatment plans that will amount to death panel choices, that those of us who have BAD HABITS of weight or tobacco or whatever will be shuffled along into the Big Brother soylent green decision ("death in 33 hours" , that, yes, the mandate to buy one thing (health insurance) means that ANYthing can be mandated on us, any harebrained thing that is deemed "healthy" by our masters, such as two glasses of wine per day even if minors can't purchase alcohol, just the HORRIBLENESS!1
The other dude, the Good Cop, related how his alcoholic relative was told that if he wanted a liver it would cost him more than $100G. He left the outcome as a cliffhanger, since they will be re-doing this scenario daily. Forever.
And the other angle, somebody posted here that back in March Teh O'LOOFAH declared from the mountaintop that the SCotUS decision would be without the possibility of a doubt to overturn and that if he was wrong, which he just couldn't be, then he would "apologize to the nation." Sound familiar? Three days before the Shrub Iraq Attack, O'LOOFAH said on GMA that he would APOLOGIZE TO THE NATION if this Iraq Attack did not find WMD. For the longest time some of us kept looking for that apology and I forget but somebody says he finally did it. Like, we know how totally crucial his every word - words like "wetback," fallafel, and loofah - are to the nation and how blessed the nation feels when he apologizes. Luckily for the nation, O'LOOFAH seldom imposes an apology on it.
Tonight his INGRAHAM sockpuppet called him on vacation and there was no mention of an apology, but he was in fulmination mode, claiming that what this decision really meant was the government takeover of personal medical care.
