6. Obama knows a great deal.

He can tell what he knows, but it's normally considered to be bad form to do so. What is needed is for him to appear at a Congressional Hearing as a witness. Then, he can answer questions truthfully and completely. In fact, he'd be required to do so.

So, whatever committees are investigating the Trump/Putin connection should ask him to appear. I'm sure he would oblige them. He has the information they're looking for, and with documentation. All they need to do is ask him, under oath.

Most likely the IC is investigating this thoroughly to make sure they have sourced any intel and can back up any case that they may be able to present. It's probably safe to say that Obama can't say anything about it since it's ongoing and the IC is most likely still in the early stages of discovery considering the complicated connections and years of contact.

Obama probably was briefed on what they found...but don't imply this was done at the behest of Obama...I do know The FISA court grants such warrants when criminality is suspected...Comey knew too and said nothing. I hope you are not implying the president was out to 'get' Trump...that was not the case.

And I'm not sure where in the text of what i wrote that you would infer such a thing.

My point being- - and this from my original post- - that if you are the president, how difficult it would be to sit on the knowledge that your successor was in up to his comb over with a hostile foreign government.

I would say that if there was a warrant to listen in on 45, Obama would have been notified.
