Preibus said FBI officials told him they didn't find any evidence of collusion. It might have been true that nothing was found by wiretapping Trump Towers late in the campaign, since most important collusion with Russia or Russian agents had already occurred by then and Trump has surrounded himself with possible Russian moles like Flynn that he could converse with in person.

Lack of phone evidence found at TT would not be surprising since Trump was on campaign trail with Flynn, Page, Sessions and others plus he had campaign stops at several places and times where that Russian billionaires' plane has been traced at those airports. (Same Russian who bought Trump property and flew in to Palm Beach when Trump and Flynn were there before Flynn resigned and who is rumored to be connected to the Rosneft 19.5% share sold to Glencore after the election.)
