URGENT NEED TO REFRAME 2016 ELECTION

This is a repost because Chuck Todd on Meet The Press REFUSED to correct Rubio who claimed the People voted for Trump...

How many times have you seen news reports on the 2016 election that make claims similar to "Trump was elected to be a disruptor", or "Trump was elected by angry white blue collar workers"? Worst, Trump's win is seen by some as a continuation of BREXIT when BREXIT was a vote by real voters, and the EC vote was not. These are both false narratives... yet once out there can take on a life of their own.

Leaving aside that no one group alone ever makes a difference in a normal election any more than the last run in a ballgame wins the game... everything is cumulative, these reports are making the logical error that what the antidemocratic EC did, reflects what real voters did. But those real voters REJECTED Trump by nearly 3 million votes.

The EC has no "motives". The EC is a mindless, antidemocratic, winner take all, voting scheme that has little to do with the REAL motivations REAL voters had. So say otherwise gives false moral legitimacy to the Trump Junta.

I suggest that whenever we come across such reporting we write the news source to complain and correctly reframe the 2016 election.

Yes I watched that interview. It seemed that Chuck Todd glossed over it because he didn't want to rehash old arguments. (Not because he agreed with Rubio.) Both Todd and Rubio were talking very fast because they each had a lot to say in 10 minutes.

What struck me was it seemed that Rubio might be getting talking points from Bannon or somebody else in the White House(?).
I don't get why Rubio thinks he's the standard-bearer for Trump. He'll go down with all of them if he keeps this up.

is somewhere around 70,000. The margin of voters for Hillary over Trump nation wide--3 million. The number of people who voted for neither Trump or Hillary--10 million.
To think that the massive interference the Russian hackers caused on social media and other outlets could not have swayed the votes of at least 70,000 is absurd.
The reality is that by a margin of 13 million to 70,000, or 186%, Americans DID NOT select Trump to be our President.
Our acceptance of the Electoral victory is just allowing these few Americans to be judged on a curve.
We must reframe the '16 election as an anomaly caused by allowing certain people privilege.

The first is with real voters... and this is the ONLY election from which we can determine voter intent... with the help of credible opinion polls. The second election is when states, using the antidemocratic EC formula which weighs the vote of citizens differently depending on state residence, translates... or bastardize, the actual votes of their citizens. In this case it's, with the rarest of exceptions... a mindless winner take all formula.

Bottom line... the EC vote tells us NOTHING about voter intent.

Just now Rachel said Trump refused to release his taxes and it was litigated in the election and people voted for him anyway.

Sure, some did... BUT THE 3 MILLION MORE REJECTED TRUMP.

Sorry Rachel... YOU CAN NOT SAY the tax issue didn't matter in the election because Trump won. There were TWO elections... one of REAL VOTERS who rejected Trump... and a second election where the voice of the People was bastardized by a mindless, antidemocratic, winner take all vote rigging scheme called the EC.

Shame Rachel, shame!
