Usually you see dogs that have done something like this. It's the first time I've seen a human do something this stupid. Those quills are barbed too, so they're a booger to pull out.

4. Yeah, I was at the vet's office years ago and someone brought in their dog, who had a face full

of quills, OH!! It was awful to see!! Poor thing - but he was calm and collected, and I hope a fine syringe of morphine was administered to him toot sweet - terrible sight!

5. Removing the quills is the worst part

I'm sure the dog was uncomfortable, but the barbs on the quills actually make them go into the victim more easily. Compared to a hypodermic needle of the same diameter, porcupine quills slide right in. They're actually studying them to try to design a more effective drug delivery system.
