The Media Just Attacked Bernie For Calling Trump A Liar. His Response Is Epic

Oddly, the Washington Post didn’t question the accuracy of any of Sander’s facts regarding Trump’s adversarial relationship with the truth. Phillips simply felt that it was inappropriate for a sitting Senator to refer to the president in such disrespectful terms. Sanders responds with the perfect questions:

"But how do we deal with a president who makes statements that reverberate around our country and the world that are not based on fact or evidence? What is the appropriate way to respond to that? And if the media and political leaders fail to call lies what they are, are they then guilty of misleading the public?"

I voted Hillary. We underestimated the irrationality and lunitic ferver of the Hillary Haters. Of course, im sure the Repubs would have disembowelled Bernie too

Both hillary and Bernie have in common that they are/ were willing to call out the truth and lies. Hillary called out Putin, which is one reason she isn't president. Bernie was better at it than Obama. I love him, and I certainly understand if he stays out of it now, but I wish he had put some of this stuff out there when it mattered. My Guess is he thought Hillary would win and take over.

We took a lot for granted. I know some people think Hillary did enough with her message to the Midwest but I disagree. And she was hardly here campaigning. That put a lot of people off. Young people were pissed at Madeleine Albright and Gloria Steinem. My son worked hard for Bernie. This was his first election to vote. He loved the honesty and approachable nature of Bernie. It's tough because of the divides in the party right now. We have to work on unity and a clear vision. We also have to work grassroots and generate some excitement.

It was so stupid. Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania were neglected. They assumed too much. My son was excited by Bernie and heartbroken because of the outcome. He predicted Trump winning early on. He was so angry at the DNC. Here in Minnesota, Bernie won the caucus. There is much to learn and much work to do.

She seems to be saying that maybe tRUMP believes his own lies, so we should too!

She also is saying the Dems. changed the rules and are going to make things harder for the Reps. to pass anything. She has already forgotten that the R's are totally and opening responsible for blocking Obama's SC pick. (Some of us remember the things from past news cycles, perhaps she does not!)

"Oh all you Black Lives Matter people shouldn't be disrupting traffic and marching in the streets and stuff!"

So Colin Kaepernick takes a knee during the pointless playing of the national anthem before a football game.

"Well, don't do that, either!"

"It's inappropriate to be so disrespectful to the president!"

Then what do you suggest? Just letting his patent lies slide by?

{Silence}

There's never a prospective suggestion for acceptable behavior; it's always "Whatever you're doing is wrong!"

Phillips is calling LIES, eye brow raising comments. Using a false equivalent reaching back to when Obama was called a liar is also baseless. If this journalist has such a hard time deciphering the truth then find another job.

Democrats will argue that it's Trump who has torn up all the rules and sent Democrats into resistance overdrive. Since becoming president, he's tweeted several eyebrow-raising claims about widespread voter fraud or potentially earth-shattering wiretapping of his phones. He's refused to provide any evidence to back up those claims, and he and the White House are demanding that Congress investigate.
