This is a question for those who can explain how the next in line is determined.

If it was proven that Trump and 10 of the highest levels right under him had committed treason how would the government put another president in? Along with how who would it most likely be? It just seems that that many are corrupt when it comes to this Russia thing and I am curious.

The new nominee pending confirmation is ALexander Acosta who has been both an Obama and Bush appointee for other posts; he has headed up civil rights under the Justice Dept. and would be the first Hispanic appointed:

None of these are good but he might be one of the least objectional ones on the list at least on civil rights issues.

Mattis is at least sane.

The rest, at least in the top 10, are awful.

That will never be proven a) because this regime won't bring charges and b) "treason" is not at issue anyway.

But if you are interested in the line of succession, there's a law for that. Currently 11th in line is...Ben Carson.
